The Resource for Urban Design Information is an independent web resource dedicated to urban design and placemaking. RUDI provides materials for professionals in the public and private sector. It was set up under the UK’s Electronic Libraries programme, with a panel of independent editorial advisers. An electronic copy of Urban Design magazine is available on the site.
Cyburbia is a blog and online resource for the planning community. It includes discussion forums and a ‘Planning Wiki’.
Planning Resource is the online version of Planning magazine. It includes a forum for the planning community, as well as news and analysis on town and country planning. It is free to RTPI members.
Regen.net is the online version of Regeneration & Renewal, which shares its forum with Planning. It covers the latest in community renewal, economic development and physical regeneration.
BD Online is the website for Building Design. It includes forums and ‘webinars’ as well as news and comment.
Culture.info is designed for users seeking information across a wide range of cultural topics, including heritage, media, visual arts, and sports. Each of the topics has a dedicated sub-portal which provides carefully researched listings and links to relevant information.
Planetizen is a US-based information exchange provided by Urban Insight. It is aimed at urban planning and design professionals. It offering news, commentary, and details of relevant events.
