In a Nutshell is an online learning programme provided by HCA which supplies background to beginners working in sustainable communities. The courses aim to bring together professionals in the public, private and community sectors working towards the delivery of sustainable communities. Each aims to help participants develop their understanding of what sustainable communities are, explore national and regional policy and consider the roles of the organisations and individuals charged who are delivering sustainable communities.

The Values framework, produced by HCA, is aimed at elected members and councillors, to help them understand what constitutes a sustainable community.
